SUMMARY:Culture Contracts Workshop
LOCATION:Evanston Community Bank & Trust\, 901 Grove Street Evanston\, IL\
 , 60201
DESCRIPTION:What does "responsive" mean to your team? What does good commu
nication look like? How should colleagues handle disagreement\, ask for he
lp\, or let someone know when something isn't working?\n\nMost workplace f
riction doesn't come from bad intentions. It comes from unstated expectati
ons. We assume everyone shares the same definition of "responsive\," "resp
ectful\," or "good communication\," then feel frustrated when someone does
n't meet an expectation that was never actually said out loud.\n\nIn this
interactive workshop\, leadership coach Mary Ellen Ball will introduce the
concept of a culture contract: a simple\, explicit agreement between a le
ader and their team\, or among teammates\, about what they need from each
other to do their best work.\n\nTogether\, you'll explore the difference b
etween assumed and stated expectations and use a practical framework to un
cover what's going unsaid on your own team. You'll begin turning vague exp
ectations into clear\, actionable agreements and leave with a working draf
t of a culture contract you can bring back to your organization\, refine\,
and put into practice.\n\nThis workshop is designed for business owners\,
nonprofit leaders\, managers\, team leaders\, and anyone who wants to cre
ate clearer expectations and stronger working relationships within their o
rganization.\n\nAbout Mary Ellen Ball\n\nMary Ellen Ball is a leadership c
oach and founder of Open Delta Group\, an Evanston-based talent developmen
t and coaching practice. She brings 20 years of experience in leadership r
oles and coaching\, including designing and delivering leadership developm
ent programming for a national professional services firm reaching more th
an 1\,000 leaders. The Culture Contracts framework comes directly from her
  leadership coaching work.\n\nhttps://maps.harrischamberteam.com/maps/evan
